Abstract :
The overall performance of Minimum Augmented Pipelining (MAP) filters, which belong to the class of Clustered Look-Ahead (CLA) filters is extensively analyzed to compare with the performance of Scattered Look-Ahead (SLA) filters with decomposition. Complexity, stability, quantization noise including overflow nonlinearities and the optimality of the algorithm itself are considered for the second-order prototype filter
