Abstract :
A new adaptive filtering algorithm is developed based on fairly well known off-line optimization techniques. The need for tuning parameters is eliminated through an efficient line search procedure which assures good performance in many practical situations. Simulations are included which demonstrate the algorithm´s stability under conditions where other algorithms with fast convergence, e.g., RLS, LMS-Newton, diverge
