Abstract :
In this paper, we extend the definition of the evolutionary spectrum to the evolutionary bispectrum. Using a model previously proposed for estimation of the evolutionary spectrum for nonstationary signals we propose an estimator of the third order moment for nonstationary signals. We also propose an estimator of the evolutionary bispectrum which we call the evolutionary biperiodogram (EBP). We show that it is possible to use window functions to smooth out the EBP. Finally we apply the proposed estimator to a time-varying signal
