  • Abstract
    We demonstrate for the first time frequency stabilization of an optical parametric oscillator to a reference cavity. An ultrastable cryogenic sapphire optical cavity is employed. An upper limit for its drift has been determined by comparison with an iodine hyperfine transition frequency to be <200 Hz/day.
