  • Abstract
    Point out several common vacuum breakers´ fault causes and the existing method of determining circuit breaker failure. On this basis, in order to locate the fault type of vacuum circuit breaker more quickly and accurately, try to use the ID3 method to apply to the fault diagnosis of vacuum circuit breaker, the simple sample set was collected and putted in the table, ID3 method was used to calculate. By analyzing and calculating, such method is verified practically, and it provides a new idea for the fault diagnosis of vacuum circuit breakers. It can be seen from the results that ID3 method can more quickly locate the common faults of vacuum circuit breakers, which is helpful to eliminate the fault and maintain the stability of system. Meanwhile, ID3 method is very convenient to deal with a long list of non-numerical characteristics of the property model, thus it is appropriate to apply to the vacuum circuit breaker fault diagnosis.
