Abstract
Multidisciplinary studies in marine resource management and marine affairs are relatively new graduate level programs in the United States. The Oregon State University program (started in 1974) was developed and is administered by the College of Oceanography. Special features of this program are discussed. There are several important issues confronting faculty and administrators of these programs which were considered at the "Marine Affairs/Marine Resource Management Faculty Workshop" held at Oregon State University (12-13 June 1984). These issues and related topics are discussed in this paper.
