Abstract :
This paper is to present the “Project Initiation” for a number of improvements to the OPAL Reactor Protection System (RPS). The proposed modification will result in: · an improvement to the human machine interface with the RPS · it will add new operating modes focused on testing, and set point changes. Included in the project, are more useful operating information from the final actuation devices and the status of specific power supplies.
