Abstract
Dynamic performances of a hybrid wind turbine generating system consisting of series connected plural wind generators, a current-source thyristor inverter, a synchronous generator driven by a prime mover, and a duplex reactor are discussed. It is shown that tip speed ratios of the individual turbine and the system output power can be controlled almost constant with the proposed method, making an effective operation of the system possible.
