  • Abstract
    Based on current simulation studies of traction power supply system (TPSS), a united simulation model of high-speed Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) and traction power network is built by Matlab/simulink to analyze the characteristic of harmonics while the locomotive is under different work conditions and different output capacities, proving the validity of the model. On the basis of the united model, the transfer characteristics of harmonic currents are simulated and analyzed while the locomotive is situated at different positions and different positions of the traction network while the locomotive is static. The paper has also analyzed the resonance by using the amplification characteristic of traction network harmonic meanwhile, second-order damped filter adopted to investigate the efficiency of harmonic amplification and suppression.
