Industry benefits as a result of time dissemination at CENAM

Summary form only given, as follows. With the aim of disseminating the Coordinated Universal Time Scale UTC (CENAM) and with the purpose that industry gets benefit from the time scale, we were helpers (design, coordination, test and installation) of a synchronization system which can be used in factories to synchronize clocks, computers and netservers. This system was tested in a food factory. In this application, the system included four digital clocks, a computer interface and software for updating a computer (main computer which updates these clocks). The company obtained benefits from this work as follows: 1. Improved quality in its thermal production process. 2. Reduced losses both in time and production. 3. Improved coordination among departments. We also provide time to a large TV station. A banking institution receives time within an agreement between CENAM and this institution to assist it in network synchronization.
