Abstract :
A delta modulation loop is used as the analog-to-digital conversion circuit for microsensors. The delta modulator oversamples and modulates the analog sensor signal into a high frequency 1-bit digital pulse stream. Various kinds of sensor devices can be directly connected to the delta modulation loop. Non-ideal effects of the analog circuits accumulate errors and degrade the system´s performance. A set of specification for these analog circuits is defined to achieve 10-bit resolution
