Abstract :
For breakers malfunction problem of the power distribution networks breakers under the high di / dt conditions, the paper carry out a research into distribution networks short selective protection based on fast recovery type current limit breakers selective distribution networks. Using Upper and lower DC molded case breaker tripping, Current rise rate and peak current breaking, the paper gets the conclusion that the reason of selective protection failure is high rate of current rise. Using fast recovery type current limit breaker to limit the current peak under higher level tripping curve at time of lower breakers open. And develop the prototype of current limit breaker. The experimental results show that in many cases the rate of current rise, the prototype can achieve the selective protection of DC power distribution network. The conclusions can be applied to the selective protection design of the same type networks.
