Abstract :
The performance of an indoor wireless orthogonal sequency division multiplexing (OSDM) system for broadband data transmission operating in the 2.4 GHz ISM band is investigated. The channel is modelled as a Rayleigh fading one with exponential power delay profile and different average delay spreads. It is shown that using OSDM technique with power control, the performance and the capacity of the system can greatly be improved. This technique can easily be combined with the DS-CDMA capabilities and the RAKE reception to adapt to various channel parameters and data rates.
