Abstract :
There have been a number of advances in oceanography and ocean engineering over the last two decades which have found practical applications in the development of offshore hydrocarbons. This paper will review several such advances involving the development and application of directional wave spectral concepts to more accurately predict storm wave heights and platform loads.
