Abstract :
Under the effects of DC voltage and polarity reversal voltages, electric field distribution in valve winding of converter transformer gets more complicated than common power transformer. The polarity reversal electric field of converter transformer is computed by finite element software. The effects of insulation material resistivity to polarity reversal electric field are analyzed.
