Abstract :
The optimum thickness for the magnetic coating layer of NiFe/Cu composite wires has been investigated. In preparing each of the composite wire specimens, a layer of Ni80Fe20 was deposited onto a 20 mum in diameter copper wire by means of DC electrodeposition. It was found that the optimum thickness in terms of magnetic properties is not unique and is dependent on the process conditions.
