Abstract :
Line losses analysis and management of distribution networks is an important task for the system operation and planning. The conventional line losses calculation software needs enormous data input by means of hands and easily result in errors. Now it is not fit for market progress requirement. In this paper, line losses analysis and management system based on local area network (LAN) is proposed. The system not only can avoid enormous data input by hands, but also can compute losses on line. This new system operation environment is based on Windows, using Microsoft Foundation Class Library (MFC) as development platform, using ODB as database connection interface. It has been successfully applied by Liaoning Electric Power Corporation.
