Title :
Charging in cordless telecommunication systems
Author_Institution :
Swedish Telecom Radio, Malmo, Sweden
Abstract :
The author describes the possibility of supporting charging information transfer both to the user in a cordless telecommunication system connected to a network with advanced functionalities and in the system to which the user is connected. She describes how charging information can be handled in a system where the number of bearers and supplementary services used varies during a call. The basic procedures and calculations needed to provide a terminal with required charging information are explained. The procedure described achieves structured charging in cordless telecommunication systems. Demand for unused capacity may be avoided by setting a high cost level for unnecessary capacity
