Abstract
Deep Rover represents a new generation of agile, deep diving, user friendly microsubmersibles. From the combined feedback of a deep water scientist and an offshore oilfield service company executive, a leading submersible designer developed the quantum leap concept of Deep Rover. With over 100 logged working dives behind her, Deep Rover has proven herself in both commercial and scientific diving. This paper gives a brief history of submersible evolution, then describes the design and applications of Deep Rover.
