Abstract
The requirements of unobtrusive in-place and portable RF monitoring systems have led to the development of a compact, linearly polarized antenna to cover 4 to 40 GHz with gain greater than 10 dBi over most of the band. The antenna is lightweight, rugged, and can be manufactured at a reasonable cost.
