  • Abstract
    An improved method for the ultratrace determination of butyltins in water by simultaneous hydridization/extraction followed by gas chromotography coupled with a flame photometric detector is reported. Detection limits for the new system are 5 ng/L tributyltin cation (TBT+). Effects of pH and salinity on the procedure are reported, and stability of the derivitized extracts is discussed.
