Abstract :
The authors report on a tool for the development of expert systems, to overcome the common conviction that Ada is unsuitable for artificial intelligence. It uses object-oriented concepts for both the design and implementation. The authors describe an approach to expert-system development, the requirements for the shell, its design using object-oriented techniques, and its control and inference mechanisms
