Abstract :
The Fuzzy Computing project (FC project) at the Laboratory for International Fuzzy Engineering Research (LIFE) in Japan is developing FINEST (Fuzzy Inference Environment Software with Tuning), a software environment for fuzzy inference with a mechanism to tune the inference method as well as fuzzy predicates. This paper gives an outline of the software: special features, the knowledge representation, the user interface and examples of building, and tuning a target system
