Abstract
The framework of location service systems based on frame synchronization of digital multimedia terrestrial broadcasting (DMTB) is provided. A smoother that is composed of dual Kalman filters for location estimation is studied. The extended Kalman filtering (EKF) models of the system state space and observation are presented. The simulation results showed that DMTB-based location service could remarkably improve the precision of positioning estimates that has meter-level positioning accuracy.
