  • Abstract
    Optimal load distribution of the hydroelectric generating units is essential for a hydropower station to achieve economic operation. The application of genetic algorithm on load distribution of the hydroelectric units is presented in this paper. Load distribution problems are analyzed and solved. Compared calculation with AGC is performed on Fengman hydropower units under given loads. The results show that the genetic algorithm has the advantages of quick and reliable results. It´s feasible, effective and strong practical value on hydroelectric unit load optimal distribution.
