Abstract :
This paper presents design & development process of a wide band, wide beam, foam-filled cavity backed patch antenna in C-Band for an active phased array radar. The measured results have shown a return loss <; -10dB, 3-dB beamwidth >; ±60°/ ± 50° in H-/ E-planes, gain between 4.0-4.8 dB and efficiency >; 85% over 18% bandwidth in C-Band.
