Abstract :
A fuzzy PID control scheme suitable for power system stability enhancement implementation is presented. Essentially, the method utilizes 27 control rules to vary the three gains of a PID controller. As such, it possesses the advantages of a PID controller and that of a rule-based controller. The effectiveness of this control scheme is demonstrated by applying it to a 3-machine and 10-machine power system respectively. Simulation results show that this fuzzy control scheme is effective for stability enhancement of multimachine power systems
