Abstract
HEM11δ mode is commonly used in Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna (CDRA) for broadside radiation. Very recently the present authors have been successful in exciting the higher order mode (HEM12δ), which is equally suitable for broadside radiation. The higher order mode suffers from limitations compare to the dominant (HEM11δ) mode. A comparative study in terms of antenna parameters and feed has been presented in here.
