  • Abstract
    Based on the harsh underground environment and complex monitoring data, some sensors that have different purposes need to be set up, a routing algorithm(LEACH-N)suitable for underground heterogeneous wireless sensor networks is proposed . In the algorithm, according to energy distribution network in the different nodes, the weight factor is introduced for cluster head´s selection as the regulation parameter. During the electoral process each node´s energy consumption, distance with the base station and the number of elected cluster heads should be synthetically taken into account. In the stable data transmission phase, the cluster heads adopt multi-hop transmission way to transfer data to sink node through the integration of data processing. Finally, MATLAB is used for the simulation and theoretical research to the new algorithm. The result of the simulation shows that the algorithm can reduce the energy consumption of cluster heads, balance the network load, thereby prolonging the network lifetime.
