Field Based Coastal and Estuarine Statistical Indices of Marine Degradation

This paper provides a statistical basis that has led to the development of a crystal cube of eleven indices under consideration for the purposes of interpreting ´unreasonable´ coastal and estuarine degradation. This is illustrated by an example of an index based on the reproductive success of marine birds on the east coast.
