Abstract :
This paper presents a novel split ring resonator (SRR) UWB antenna. A novel hybrid design of microstrip-fed parasitic coupled monopole antenna is presented. The proposed antenna structure consists of a directly fed SRR and electromagnetically coupled parasitic patch, with a pair `V´ shape notch in the rectangular ground plane, so the ground plane divided into two part: one parasitic patch and a small ground plane. The parasitic patch is connected with SRR though via holes. It presented a UWB where the /S11/ is small than -10dB from 2.07GHz to 9.74GHz and has a low narrow frequency working at 0.537GHz. The measurements has demenstrated this results.
