  • Abstract
    This program is performed by the New York City Department of Environmental Protection in accordance with Special Condition Number 6 (monitoring) of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency´s Interim Ocean Dumping Permit regulating the transporting and disposing of municipal sewage sludge into ocean waters. The program is designed to monitor the marine environment at and adjacent to the designated dump site to identify immediate and short-term impacts of the sewage sludge disposal.
