  • Abstract
    As the research of fuzzy theory advances, the development of the fuzzy computer which can directly treat fuzzy data is sought. However, it is not at present possible to know the character of the circuit and the design method of fuzzy computer. This paper concerns fuzzy sequential circuits, which are indispensable elements in the fuzzy computer. Sequential circuits have been expressed by chiefly using the logical expressions. On the other hand, in fuzzy automaton and fuzzy systems, the state transitions of the system are represented by using the relation matrix. Here the transition matrix is taken up as an approach of sequential circuit design method, and their characteristics and the utilization method are considered. Furthermore, we developed environments (description language and circuit simulator) for designing and verifying fuzzy sequential circuits with transition matrix
