Abstract :
Summary form only given. We report our recent results on the pattern formation in nonlinear optical systems in presence of additive (quantum) noise. We show: (1) that the patterns progressively emerge from noise by approaching the pattern formation threshold from below; (2) that the patterns show Bose-Einstein-like distributions of the far field above the pattern forming threshold. (3) that the temporal power spectra of optical patterns is of 1/f/sup a/ form in the presence of the additive noise.
