Abstract
A scale-recursive Kalman filtering on multiscale images from coarse scale to fine scale is proposed which is a generalization of Chou and Willsky´s (see Tech. Report CICS-P-333, Center for Intelligent Control System, MIT, May, 1992) model. Through the use of wavelet packet transform, an efficient, highly parallel algorithm has been developed. This scale filtering method can be used to statistically fuse multisensor multiresolution images
