Abstract
The key benefits of object-oriented programming, object-oriented simulation, and object-oriented parallel simulation are presented. This is followed by a tutorial introduction of Sim++, an object-oriented parallel simulation language. A simple transportation system simulation is used to introduce the basic simulation concepts and facilities provided by Sim++
