Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. We are preparing a high-precision measurement of the gravitational constant G, using a new technique. Test measurements with water as field masses have been done and G has been determined with an uncertainty of 240 ppm. In the next step 13.5 tons of mercury will be used as field masses.
