Abstract
Mobile Ad Hoc network is a temporary network autonomous system which is composed of a group of mobile nodes with wireless transceiver, and supports multi-hop. With the development of network application, the increase of mobile terminals´ capabilities and the promotion of mobile TV service, multicast becomes a hot topic in the development of mobile ad hoc network. In this paper, on the basis of MAODV, an improved multicast protocol based on mobility prediction and self pruning flooding (MMPS) is proposed. Simulation results show that the improved protocol reduces expenses, and increases the packet delivery ratio as well as protocols´ scalability effectively.
