Abstract :
A 1 Mbps nondirective infrared transceiver has been reported by Tsaur et al,. (see IEEE Trans. on Consumer Electronics, vol.40, no.1, p.20-27, 1994). A 2 Mbps system is designed and proposed based on the similar architectures without increasing the complexity and power required. In addition, we describe the primary reasons we adopt 4-ary PPM as the core of our second generation 2 Mbps nondirective infrared transceiver and the implementation techniques toward the realization of an efficient but robust prototype
