Abstract :
The remote power supply cable between the distributed base station BBU(Base Band Unit) and RRU(Radio Remote Unit) is the main channel causing the base station equipment struck by possible lightning[1]. This paper comparably analyzed the lightning protection and grounding of distributed base station and macro base station and proposed solutions based on the characteristics of distributed base station.
