Abstract
This paper describes the development of a man-machine interface (MMI) system for the command, control and monitoring of JET remote handling equipment. The system has been designed to provide maximum flexibility of construction, while retaining a common `look and feel´ to be independent of the remote handling equipment. The system provides operations engineers with a ready tool for MMI development. It also provides the software engineers with a structured design and standard approach to ease maintenance and further development. The system has been successfully proven by application to JET remote handling equipment during the past 2 years
