Abstract

Construction of the indicator system is the important prerequisite for evaluation on regional sustainable energy development. This paper initially establishes an integrative regional energy sustainable development indicator system which combines issues such as energy, economics, sustainable energy development evaluation and environment. Then, the ability of energy sustainable development in typical areas (Guangdong and Shanxi provinces) was analyzed using the indicator system. Results show the selected indicators and weight set in this indicator system is reasonable. Suggestions were given based on the result of evaluation.
