Abstract :
In this paper, a bounded-wave simulator with ellipse-arc transition is proposed and designed. The E-field wave in simulators with ellipse-arc transition and tapered transition are simulated and tested. The results are compared and discussed. The ellipse-arc transitional simulator eliminates the interference coming from the discontinuity at the junction between the transitional section and parallel-plate section.
