Abstract :
Here we describe modeling approach and results of detailed analysis of the magnetization reversal process (both static and dynamic) within the atomic scale description of the interface properties. To capture essential physics within and beyond the interfacial region recently we have proposed a multiscale model of the exchange spring process based on a combination of atomistic and micro-magnetic concepts. The model uses an atomistic approach within the Heisenberg form of interatomic exchange. The lattice structure is included explicitly, by treating the lattice matching between the hard and soft regions.
