Abstract :
The cabin of train, ship and aircraft and other open metal cavity is mostly a cavity with a window on it. There are controllers, signal sources or other sensitive electronic equipments in it. In this paper the electromagnetic coupling characteristics through the window of the metal cavity being struck by lightning was studied. The model chosen is a cavity with a window on it. And the Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FD-TD) method was used to calculate the shielding capability with different materials in the windows of metal structures compartments.
