Abstract :
A new terrain meshing method for simulations of specific ray-tracing propagation model is proposed. A great number of simulations were made to prove the efficiency and usefulness of the new method. The ray tracing paths are researched carefully on the condition that the transmitters and receivers far away from each other. A new method for this kind of specific propagation is presented, by which the area containing transmitters or receivers is meshed into fine triangles while the rest area of the terrain is meshed into large triangles. The computing time is reduced by this new method while the computing accuracy is good enough.
