Abstract :
The authors have developed a new antenna called a modified transmission line antenna (MTLA) for mobile communication. As an application of the MTLA, they have developed a MTLA for the personal handy phone (PHP). This antenna can provide high gain and good impedance property required for a PHP antenna and also provide a very important property for a PHP so that effects of a human body on the characteristics of an antenna are relatively small
