Abstract
Summary form only given. Ultrashort laser pulses (<10 ps) were formed on regenerative amplification in LiF crystalline layer (10 /spl mu/m) with superhigh concentration of F/sub 2/ color centers (absorption coefficient of 2000 cm/sup -1/ for F/sub 2/ band around 450 nm) with pumping by nanosecond flashes of a powerful Xe-lamp (5 mJ, 400-500 nm, 20 ns, 25 Hz).
