Abstract :
The electric field distribution around the periphery of a truncated square patch microstrip antenna are presented. This field distribution and therefore the magnetic current distribution leads to better understanding and helps optimizing the design. For the optimized design, the axial ratio and radiation patterns are computed. The theoretical and experimental results are found to be in good agreement
