Abstract :
A discrete-time LQ control with actuator failure is considered with directional change in controls phenomenon taken into account, as a result of actuator saturation case included. The control problem is analyzed in terms of algebraic Ricatti equations. Computer simulations of two-input two-output system are given to illustrate the performance of the reliable LQ controller with respect to directional change phenomenon.
